Reiki is a safe holistic natural hands on therapy, to access Universal Life
Energy which promotes the healing processes on all levels; physical, emotional,
mental and spiritual. A simple intuitive approach to balancing your body systems, restoring your
depleted energies and promoting increased vitality and longevity.
The science of Reiki can be traced back to Tibet and was rediscovered by a
dedicated scholar Dr Mikao Usui in the 1800's.
Since 1975 thousands of people now have Reiki and use it to promote the natural
healing process of the body as a professional and / or personal therapy.

A majority of people take a Reiki course for their own well being and to gain a
greater understanding of themselves. Reiki encourages our natural healing
ability and helps to focus our intuition and awareness and enables us to share
the benefits with family, friends and clients.
There is no pre-requisite knowledge or training required in learning Reiki and it
is not associated with any cult, religion or belief system. Anybody at any age
can learn Reiki.
Reiki will benefit you if you wish to:
- Dramatically decrease stress in your life.
- Treat common health problems, injuries, migraines, nausea, flu, allergies,
burns, etc.
- Complement and increase the benefits of traditional and alternative remedies.

REIKI TRAINING
Reiki can only be accessed by a process called an 'attunement' by attending a
workshop performed by a qualified Traditional Reiki Master / Teacher.
The Reiki Master empowers the student, with the energy being transferred during
the 'attunement' process at each degree level. These 'attunements' open certain
centers of the body so the energy can be channeled easily and safely.
Reiki cannot be taught from books or instructions.

"I am a massage therapist in the far north, with focus on therapeutic and sports massage who felt that I needed more depth to my treatments. I was working with the physical, however felt that there was an energetic level I was not tapping into and utilising to my full ability to aid my clients in their healing. I looked online for reiki practitioners, as I knew that reiki was a well established "technique" in working with the bodies energy system and I found Jannette. Her website was well organised, prices, dates and explanations of who she was and exactly what reiki entailed was very easy to understand and follow.
Originally I wanted to travel to Auckland to partake in one of Jannettes weekend courses and we set a date, however life got in the way and I had to cancel this. She had mentioned that correspondence was an option however I didn't feel that it was possible to learn something as intricate as energy work this way! Eventually I realised that this was the best option for me and I contacted her, requesting the information. Her replies were quick and the information provided very in depth however understandable and simple.
Arranging times for the initiations was easy, Jannette worked around both our schedules to find a suitable time. The initiations were amazing, I reccommend fully commiting to the times set and finding a space for just yourself and feel the initiation fully. Also, the self-heals are amazing, I could feel energy pulsing and moving throughout these moments.
My practice was very busy over the holiday period, therefore did not practice any reiki! I have recently started practicing again and required some guidence as to what I was feeling and how to deal with this, as well as explanations on these feelings. Again, Jannettes reply and guidance were fast and informative as well as extreemly helpful. I reccommend correspondence via Jannette to anyone who believes visiting Auckland does not fit into their schedule, coming from someone in the health industry already and who has experienced some not so positive learning environments - my experience with Jannette has been purely positive."
